Public Screenings

Film “The Living” was shown at the International conference “Geopolitics, Reconciliation and Memory” on December, 5 ^th 2008.

The conference was organized by the National University Kiev-Mohyla Academy, the Embassy of Poland in Ukraine, the Embassy of France in Ukraine, the French Cultural Center in Kyiv, and the National center of scientific research (Paris). The conference took place at the Cultural-Arts Center of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

The screening was attended by participants of the conference – scientists and diplomats from Ukraine, France and Poland and also by students, teachers and visitors of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The film was presented by the First Secretary of the Polish Embassy Olia Hnatiuk, line producer Yevheniya Kravchuk and chief consultant Yurii Shapoval .

The film was highly appreciated by the foreign and Ukrainian audience. DVD copies of the film were given to Polish and French Embassies at the diplomats’ request. Also one copy was presented to Kiev-Mohyla Academy.

The film’s producers are currently planning additional screenings in France and Poland.
